Welcome to Mountain Rail Modeler.

For ages the hobby of miniature trains has developed way past the toy train phase. Those who consider themselves hobbiest have evolved and perfected their hobby to an art.
Many are satisfied with a cirle of track on the bedroom floor for an occasional run, others are more into the hobby by replicating entire towns and rail yards. Many hobbiest do their very best to be as accurate as they can with details
on rolling stock, locomotives and scenery. This site was created for those of us who love and enjoy modeleling the Appalachian Mountain Range of the east coast.
I hope that this site will gain the attention of modelers all across the country or world, in hope's of sharing photos, techniques, experiences or frustrations that each of us have encountered
along our quest to model one of the most beautiful areas of the country. Included on this site are photos and experiences of model railroaders plus added photos of
actual locomotives, rolling stock and trackside scenery.

If you enjoy modeling the West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky or Ohio areas, especially the coal mining regions, I hope you will enjoy this site. If you have photos that you would like to submit, please use the link at the right to let me know
what it is you are wanting to submit. All photos will contain the information that you wish to post. PLEASE REMEMBER, this site is free!!! Just wanting to reach a helping hand out to other rail modelers. This site is dedicated to those of us who proudly boast, "Still Plays With Trains".

Please feel free to navigate our site. You may find some useful photos of actual rolling stock for use in weathering your layout.

We invite you to visit us or attend an event. Our members are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the organization and how you can join.
